I have had the worst time finding a photographer in my area Buffalo, NY. My son's 3 and 6 month pictures were a huge disappointment. (I tried three different places!) I hate how the photographers posed him. I always admired my cousin's family photos, so during a recent visit to her house in Wayland, MA I brought my nine month old to your Natick location. Portrait Simple was everything I wanted and more. Thank you Jay! You did a fabulous job and the experience was actually enjoyable. The toughest part was deciding on what photos to pick. They were all wonderful! I wish I could go back and have Portrait Simple for his 3 and 6 month pictures, but I can't turn back time. However in the future Portrait Simple is where I will go, even if I have to fly to Boston! So WHEN ARE YOU OPENING A STORE IN THE BUFFALO AREA? I can't say enough about the wonderful experience.

I live in Milford Connecticut and we do not have any photo studios like your store around so I simply go to jcpenny and I have never has pleasant sitting before I am writing to you to let you know I have never had a good experience like I had today. The photographers were excellent. Mari at the Westfarms location was my photographer and I could not say any thing but pleasant things about her, she was excellent, I was at the mall shopping and it was a spure-of-the moment thing my daughter 1 years old didn’t have a nap all day and was cranky but some how Mari got smiles out of her and the pictures are the best i have ever seen of her. I will be visiting this location regularly. Mari impressed me into being a regular customer. We visited your new Eastview Mall location on Saturday and had the best experience! We had taken our daughter (now 6 months old) to JC Penney's two times. We had terrible experiences both times and ended up sending the pictures back. Our experience at Portrait Simple was completely different. Our photographer was great and really let us take part in the session. The department store studios won't even let you interact with your child!
Our photographer caught so many great images we had trouble choosing which to take home. The best part was that the atmosphere was so relaxed. We got to sit at the computer and carefully study each shot and we didn't feel pressured to make quick choices. The photographer even offered us bottle water while we sat to make our choices. We weren't rushed at all and then after making our decisions our pictures were ready for us to take home in 10 minutes!
We joined your portrait club and we will be back soon. I already have friends and family members making appointments!

My husband and I just returned home from another successful visit to your Westfarms Studio. We brought our five year old daughter, Avery, and her two year old brother, Jack, for their Easter photo shoot with the bunnies! Maddy (who I believe is also the store manager) took their pictures and my only complaint is that there were too many awesome shots to choose from. Maddy is fantastic. I cannot say enough about her professionalism and her great personality. My two year old is not the easiest kid to control and she was just wonderful with him. I think these are some of the best photos we've ever had taken of them. With that said, I must tell you that this was not a unique experience. Every single time I have brought my family to Portrait Simple we have had a phenomenal experience. Getting photos taken of my kids used to be such a chore, but Maddy makes it a pleasurable experience for our whole family. Dear Portrait Simple, We had our second visit this past Sunday morning, and WOW, you are 2 for 2! I had my daughter's 2 year portraits done and they were amazing. Our wonderful photographer, Jay was hilarious. She was not afraid to jump up and down, make funny noises and do whatever necessary to make our baby laugh. The pictures came out absolutely beautiful. Jay told us about the Portrait Club, we joined and have been pleased with the great value. This weekend we went back to the Natick Mall with all 4 children (ages 2 -15) and our very nervous dog to have portraits done. We were lucky enough to have Jay take the photos, and again she was terrific. She came up with all sorts of fun poses for the group, and even encouraged my husband and I to step in for a few family photos. The pictures came out great (very impressive with 6 people and a dog!). Jay even took the time to put the 8x10 in the frame for us, and box it up nicely. Jay is the greatest children's photographer we have used (and we've used quite a few), and quite simply Portrait Simple continues to exceed our expectations. The quality is superb and the value is excellent. Keep up the good work!

I had to take a moment to comment on our experience at the Westfarms Studio. I had seen photos that friends and family had taken there, and liked them enough to give it a try myself (even though I was kind of skeptical after trying nearly every portrait studio in the area over the last 5 years). I was looking for something different--more candid--since I had a stack of posed pictures of my 5-year-old daughter. I walked away with photos like I've never seen before--better than I could have ever anticipated for the price--and I can't stop looking at them! Our photographer, Deon, was just fabulous. Not only was she friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, but we had a really good time having our photos taken! She happened to have extra time on that day, so she spent it working with us, and not because we weren't already getting great shots, but just to keep having fun and give me more to choose from. That extra time and relaxed attitude gave us photos of my daughter and me really laughing--a candid taken by a professional photographer. I am writing to tell you about an absolutely wonderful experience we had at your Westfarms location yesterday. After several disappointing portrait sessions at one of your competitors, my husband and I were pleased beyond belief after leaving your location yesterday. Our photographer was a very pleasant young woman by the name of Tate. We have a 1 year old daughter and a 2 year old son, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you how difficult it can be to work with such young children. However, Tate was wonderful! Not only did we have a large assortment of shots to choose from, both kids were smiling in most of them! Your digital system and photo imaging software is phenomenal. The most difficult part of the whole experience was choosing from all of the wonderful shots. In our other experiences, we settled on one shot which we considered to be "at least better than the rest." We left with a 6 sheet package of 4 different poses and will most certainly be returning for more.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience! My 3 1/2-year-old daughter and I had mother-daughter portraits taken this morning, and we had a great time. Jackie (at the Natick Mall) was fantastic -- so good with my daughter and so creative in her shots and editing. She was extremely patient as I tried to choose the ones I would take home as they all came out so beautifully! It was very difficult to choose; I'm already planning to go back and get more prints of today's session. I'll definitely return for future sessions. My name is Amanda J. I wanted to write to corporate to express my thank you. I recently had pictures done at your Westfarms store in CT. It was a last minute impulse thing. We walked in and met Mike. He was free to take the pictures. I have a 4 month old son and wanted to do something for my husband. Mike spent so much time with my son, making him comfortable. The pictures that he took were so creative. I couldn't believe that they were just taken and not done in some fancy studio setting. The picture that we chose for the present is absolutely perfect. The others he took came out so good we bought a package.
I just wanted to say thank you and to let you know that Mike was awesome. He was so nice and caring with my son. He got on the floor to his level and really made it fun.
I have already told many people about Portrait Simple and the experience we had. We will be back again for sure.

My sister and I took our three children to your Framingham store for Mother's Day pictures and it was fantastic. Our photographer was very patient, especially with us over zealous mothers.
What I really appreciated was being able to look at the pictures immediately and only chose the ones WE liked. Unlike some other places who print out the worst picture in your "package" and then show you these other gorgeous pictures that you can buy at an additional cost!!

I had to write to you and tell you how great my experience was at your Natick location. I was doing a VERY last minute birthday gift for my husband and decided to bring my kids the evening before his birthday for a photo. Our photographer, Dorie, was fantastic. I was very apprehensive about having a picture of us since pictures with the two kids together had been very difficult in the past and my kids were tired since it was late in the day. I figured they would be out of control. I hoped for ONE good picture. Dorie took so many pictures and I had such a hard time deciding on one that I bought three. She was able to get my kids involved in the photo and snap it at just the right moment - they were so natural looking & really looked like my kids. Other studios take nice photos but they didn't capture my kids real personality. I signed up for the portrait rewards program and am really looking forward to going back for my daughter's birthday this fall. I love photographs and have considered going to one of those very expensive photographers because I wasn't finding what I wanted from the other cheaper places. I'm so excited that I don't have to about finding a "new" great photographer who has reasonable prices. Thanks again.
I am long overdue at sending this message, but wanted to provide some feedback on my portrait simple experience. It was wonderful! For a year I had been taking my daughter to picture people, and every time I was unhappy with the process, the long wait, crowded stores, and most importantly the picture quality themselves! The staff at Portrait Simple in Natick was exceptional, and I was so pleased with the quality that I joined the loyalty program.
Portrait Simple came highly recommended by a friend who has brought her children to your CT brand, and she recently told me you will be expanding to chestnut hill, ma. hooray! keep up the great work.
My husband and I went to the WestFarms store this weekend for the first time. Our 9 month old daughter immediately warmed up to the photographer and was all smiles. We have gone to different portrait places and generally liked Picture People before we came to Portrait Simple. Now we are never going back to the others! Your services and product are way above those of the other stores. We joined the loyalty program and can't wait to come back for my daughter's one year birthday pictures. Honestly, we felt like our daughter was being photographed at a professional modeling job, it was that good. It was painful to have to choose only a few of the photos because out of the 26 that were taken all of them were great.

Hello, I would like to add a comment about our experience last night at your West Farms store.
I had put off having pictures of the kids taken for their grandmother for years because of the hassle involved. Last night, we visited the West Farms Portrait Simple and Mike Tritchonis took care of us. We had photos taken of six teenagers, a few who really resisted coming in the first place. Mike was great with the kids and each and every one of them came out happy not only with the experience, but with the photographs, which is a miracle. The hassle that I imagined and remembered from other photography studios just wasn't there and we took our beautiful photos home within minutes of them being taken. I absolutely would come back to this studio and will recommend it to my friends and family. Thank you!

I would like to compliment you on your studio and staff located in Westfarms Mall. I brought my 3 year old daughter Abby into the studio Wednesday, 3/23 for the first time and was extremely impressed with the digital capabilities of the studio and the energetic, friendly staff.
The photographer, Matt, was very laid back and patient and worked very well with my daughter. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude helped my daughter relax and have fun during her sitting. I could tell she really enjoyed her visit and when we were gettiing ready to leave, she asked to have her picture taken again!
I was equally impressed with the seemingly endless options given to me when it came time to select the photos. Working with digital pictures adds flexibility, ease and convenience to the entire viewing and selection process. The most difficult part of my visit was narrowing down my choices!
I work as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX and my supervisor came down from the office to see the finished pictures. You'll be happy to hear she took one look and scheduled an appointment for her son on the spot!

I went last Sunday, my first time. During this busy holiday season I anticipated a wait. But no, a friendly photographer named Matt came out promptly at my reserved time. He was incredible. My two kids, ages 5 and 3 immediately warmed up to him and were laughing the entire time. I have never had such a enthusiastic and professional photographer before. You are lucky to have him on your staff, and I was lucky to have gotten him.
He did a terrific job and made my first experience a very pleasant one. I will NEVER go anywhere else again. I have frequented Sears, JC Penney and Picture People. But no longer.
Being able to review my pictures and pick my packages, and then walk out with them was such a wonderful concept. I just love immediate gratification. And to top it off, Matt spent the time to cut up all my pictures. And instead of a regular envelope, you supply a high quality pouch. WOW!
I have joined your club, and will be going back often.

I had my 18 month old daughter's pictures done at your store this past weekend. The pictures were amazing. I have never had so much trouble choosing which pictures I wanted. I was not expecting anything to choose from because my daughter does not like having her pictures taken anymore. The guy who took her pictures was very helpful and paitent and friendly. I'm sure you hear this all the time, but in comparison to other portrait studios (Sears, Target), having our daughter's pictures taken at Portrait Simple was a joy. Ok...so we're still dealing with a semi-cooperative 2 1/2 year old, but your photographer, Meg, did a wonderful job of getting our daughter warmed up and smiling. I can't say enough about Meg's patience with our daughter, and with my poor decision-making abilities when it came to choosing portraits. The fact that we got our pictures right away was wonderful, and allowed me to procrastinate on having pictures taken for Mother's Day until the last possible moment. :-) After a short walk around the mall, we left with pictures in hand, an hour after we arrived. It's a small detail, but I love that you cut the pictures into individual photos instead of leaving them in sheets, and the durable packaging is really nice for storing the extras. The quality of the photos - both the photography and printing - was great, and it was wonderful to be able to create our own package from any of the photos. Last but not least, your staff and facility were calm and inviting, as opposed to the frantic, understaffed studios we've visited.
I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was. I'm going to tell all of my friends about your studio and we will definitely be back!

Thanks for the opportunity to tell you how pleased I was with Portrait Simple. I never liked the cheesy Sears-type photos for my children, so I instead would hire professional photographers to photograph my children each Christmas. It cost A LOT more, but I decided it was worth it.
Then I saw your studio in the mall last November and saw the quality of the portraits on the wall and the prices you charged, and I thought I'd found the perfect solution.
I did. The photos of my children were just as good – and in one case even better – than the professional shots I had taken in previous years, and it was less than half the price!!!!! The young girl who took the photos was sweet too, and really knew how to handle young children.
I'm not surprised you did so well this past season. You fill a much-needed hole in the market between bad-quality, low-priced department store photos and high-quality, high-priced private photographers. I hope your studio sticks around a long time. I received the card for a free sitting if used within six months of our first visit, and I certainly intend to take advantage of it over the next month or two.

Today was my first visit to your Portrait Simple store at the Natick Mall. Paulette did a fantastic job capturing who my 4-year-old son, Jonathan, is. She was bright, articulate and worked with us to give us the pictures we wanted.
I thought your facility was excellent and more important to me, spotlessly clean. I’ve been to competitors in the past where the props, backdrops and floors were filthy. This was not the case at your store and that is very impressive.
Paulette managed to capture one shot of my son, where he wasn’t looking at the camera, but at the baseball in his hand (while wearing his Red Sox jersey). It is such a wonderful picture because it’s of a little boy. Not necessarily a little boy posing for a picture. The rest of the shots were excellent as well. I liked how she moved him around, moved in and around him, changed backdrops, props, etc. She kept his attention (never easy with a 4-year-old) and kept him happy throughout the process. I hope that if there is some sort of recognition program for your employees, that she can be recognized for her excellence.
My mother attended the session with us and as we walked through the mall, we made up our minds that we will be back in November to have a photo session done with the three of us for Christmas gifts for the family.

I had our family photos done in your store today at the Natick Mall, and was absolutely thrilled with the experience, as well as the results. Your photographer was very patient and gentle with my four children ages 10, 6, 4 and 3 (my 3 yr old was admittedly being a PILL and a half). The pictures came out beautifully, and she kept clicking away until she had several that she (and we) were happy with. Your prices are very reasonable and realistic (your prices were what drew us into YOUR store as opposed to somewhere "more familiar" in the first place) and to top it all off, leaving with pictures-in-hand is ideal for the "instant gratification" consumer (or late-shopper) as well. Our photographer even helped us get a WONDERFUL picture with my uncooperative GRUMPY 3yo kid after he had wiped off his last coerced smile, and it is actually my favorite. She really was great to find the humor in it along with me. It is "unconventional", at best.
I just wanted to thank you for creating the perfect environment to have this done. It is wonderful to come out of a store feeling like we hadn't been "had", and got exactly what we THOUGHT we were getting. No hidden charges, no unhappy attitudes or "the catch" that we have sadly come to expect.
I really hope your store and your families all have a great holiday season, and that business is healthy and strong for you. I guarantee we will be back, and will send as many people as possible to you with the highest recommendation.
