Our judges have selected the finalists for our 2011 Smile for a Cure Portrait Contest! One child per category, per studio was selected by a non-partisan panel of judges (24 finalists total.) All will receive a gift card to Portrait Simple for at least $100. If they make it to the top 3, they’ll win a $500 or $1,000 gift card instead!
Now its up to YOU to select the final three! Online voting is open now through Thursday, September 1, 2011. One vote is allowed per household.
Once voting is closed, and the top three are determined, the panel of judges will rank them as follows:
Grand Prize Winner: recieves a $1,000 Gift Card to Portrait Simple and a cover shoot for BaySateParent Magazine
First and Second Runners up: recieve a $500 Gift Card to Portrait Simple
Judging Criteria:
Portraits are judged based on overall impact in the eyes of the judges, with no discrimination
towards sex or race. The selected images will be:
– A portrait that displays character and personality
– Of a child who appears comfortable in front of the camera
– An image that is considered a great, quality portrait.
The majority vote of the online participants determine the final 3, and the panel of judges determines the Grand Prize and Runner-Up winners. All judges decisions are final.
Prizes:
No substitute prizes or cash prizes permitted, except at the discretion of the sponsor. Contest is
subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. All prizes
must be claimed by January 31, 2011. Winners may be required to sign an acknowledgment
form and/or release in order to claim their prize.
Grand Prize winner will receive a $1000 Gift Certificate from Portrait Simple 2nd and 3rd Prize winners will
each receive a $500 Gift Certificate from Portrait Simple. The remaining 21 Finalists from the stores will
each receive a $100 Gift Certificate from Portrait Simple.
Releases/Other Conditions:
By accepting the prize or by signing the entry form, the winners and their parents/guardians give
full consent to Portrait Simple to use their first name and any portrait from their session in all forms of
advertising, promotional, marketing and collateral materials.
